Laurie, you are a miracle to me A special gift from God above, Whose life is a reflection of the beauty of God's love. You were a blessing in my life a gentle soul, unique and rare. Who always life my spirits with your gentle loving care. You were everything I'd hoped my daughter-in-law to be, And that's why you will always be a miracle to me. I love you and miss you, Laurie All my love forever. You will always have your own special place in my heart. Your mother-in-law Janette Stewart Laurie Anne Stewart, age 27 was killed on 8-16-98, by a drunk driver, who was passing in a no-passing zone, on a curve. Please read the Captions below. I will always miss Laurie. She was not just my daughter-in-law, she was my child in every way. I loved her as my own. I miss her smile, her laugh, her making me laugh. I miss her calling me and saying, "Hey, Sunshine". There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of her. The pain in my heart is so bad sometimes. I could not have had a more loving and caring daughter-in-law. She was my friend and I loved her so. She will always have a very special place in my heart, that will belong to just her. I love and miss you, Baby Girl. Your mother-in-law Janette Stewart

Laurie married my son, Harold (Bubba) Stewart, Jr., on 4-5-91. She was the love of his life. He rarely called her by her name. She was always "Baby" or "My Baby", to him. They loved each other so very much. They only had eight short years together, but those years were filled with love, caring, sharing, and understanding for each other. They lived in Troup, TX all their married life. Bubba is the Production Manager for a plant in Troup and Laurie had just been promoted to supervisor for the company she worked for in Tyler, TX. They were in the process of buying a larger home, when Laurie was killed. They have two beautiful daughters and had just had their first son, in January of 1998. Laurie was so happy when they found out they were having a boy. Bubba didn't really care whether the baby was a boy or a girl, but Laurie wanted to give the "love of her life" a son. Laurie was a very loving and caring wife and mother. She loved them with all her heart. The only thing Laurie ever really asked for was to grow old with her husband and to see her children grow up. This was taken away from Laurie on 8-16-98, when she was hit head-on by a drunk driver, who was speeding and passing in a no-passing zone, on a curve. Please don't drink and drive. It kills. It leaves husbands without their wives and children without their mothers. No one is immune to this happening to their family. No one is immune to being the one that kills someone else, when they choose to drink and drive. Do you really want to have to live with the fact that you took another life? That would be very hard for most people to live with. | Bubba & Laurie

| Cidni, Cori, and Chanon |
Here are the three beautiful children that Bubba & Laurie gave us. Cidni, age 7, Cori, age 3, and Chanon Gage, who is now 16 months old. Laurie was killed the same day Chanon turned seven months. Oh, how Laurie loved these babies. They were the apple of their mother's eye. Laurie was a terrific mother. She would play dress-up with the girls, paint thier nails, put makeup on them, etc. They thought their mother was an angel. But most importantly, Laurie taught her children about Jesus and what He did for us on the cross. Of His love, mercy, and goodness. The faith that she instilled in them has really helped them through this. They miss her so much, but they understand that were Mommy is now and they know she's not hurting. The man that killed Laurie had no auto insurance, which could have helped secure the children's college education. Laurie's employer has opened an account at a Tyler bank, so anyone wishing to help secure their future education, may give into this college fund. Anyone wishing to give to these children, may do so by sending your love gift to: Stewart Children, Cindi Forshee, Trustee Nations Bank 6101 S. Broadway, #100 Tyler, TX 75703 God bless each and every one of you as you bless these children who have lost so much.
